For the 2023-'24 School Year the Northwestern R-I School District will be starting a Grades 6-12 Co-Ed Golf Program at the Marceline Golf Course. Students will begin practice in the Spring and Grades 9-12 will have a competition schedule. The program will be started by these 2 coaches:
The Grades 6-12 Head Golf Coach will be Matt Mauzey. Matt is a Northwestern Graduate, lifelong resident and avid golfer. Matt also serves on the Marceline Golf Club Board of Directors.
The Grades 9-12 Assistant Golf Coach will be AJ Cooper. AJ is the former Head Golf Coach at Quincy University and helped start the HS Golf Program at Tolton Catholic in Columbia. He is an Insurance and Real Estate Agent in Monroe City and Tessa Clark's (of Mendon) brother.
